In July, 1987, I took part in the ELAF '87 (Latinoamerican School of Physics) and assisted the mini-workshop ``Spin Glasses and brain models" led by Prof. M.A. Virasoro.
In September, 1986, I attended the ``Colloque Franco-Latinoamericain de Physique" which was held in Buenos Aires.
